Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club

Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club is a private, member-owned club in Coto de Caza, California, located in Orange County. It is the first private 36-hole country club in the area, featuring two 18-hole golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.. The club provides a 44,000-square-foot clubhouse, a racquet club with 10 courts, and an aquatic center with three pools.

The clubhouse includes dining areas, a cocktail bar, locker rooms with spas, saunas, and steam baths, private card rooms, a pro shop, and bag storage. The racquet club has nine tennis courts and four pickleball courts for both recreational and competitive play. The aquatic center features a heated outdoor pool designed for lap swimming and general recreation.

Coto de Caza is one of Orange County’s oldest master-planned communities. Development began in 1968 and was completed in 2003. As of the 2020 census, the area is home to around 14,710 residents. The club operates as a private facility, with access limited to members and their guests.

Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club offers two 18-hole golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The North Course, opened in 1987, measures 7,172 yards from the back tees and is known for its challenging layout.  The South Course, slightly shorter, winds through the Coto canyon, offering a distinct golfing experience.   

The club provides comprehensive practice facilities, including a driving range, short game area, and putting green, to support golfers in refining their skills.  These amenities cater to both experienced golfers and those new to the game.

Situated in the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains, the courses offer views of the surrounding landscape, enhancing the overall golfing experience. The design of both courses integrates the natural terrain, providing a setting for members to enjoy the sport.
